: : : 2001-06-16 : : : 9:59 p.m. : : : Mmm...just sipping on a Pina Colada and listening to Stereolab. I think after this I shall listen to Novillero. Yes, yes I shall. Yesterday I saw a commercial for a computer. Macintosh, I think. Anyway, the song they used I knew, but I couldnt place it. The song was familiar but I was pretty sure I didnt have the mystery bands CD. Checked a compilation and lo and behold I found it: Naive Song by Mirwais. So if you happen to catch the commercial and like what you hear, I recommend listening to the whole song. I dont know about the album since I havent listened to it. The Pina Colada is slowly taking effect. Last weekend I made margaritas, but they affected the crew pretty quickly. And I know why now after making the Pina Colada: I didnt finish reading the instructions. I didnt add the second batch of ice cubes. That, and I put a lot more rum than the directions stated. If only the booze tasted as good as it felt Back to the comp. It was from a CMJ mag I got a while ago because Daft Punk was on the cover and there was a Stephen Malkmus article inside. Its got some good stuff on it: Spoon, Stephen Malkmus and New Pornographers (all who I *adore*). And it has some cool stuff I havent heard before: *Momentary pause for brain freeze to subside.* Man, those hurt. Anyway, I did my individual presentation today. I really hate doing those, but apparently I came off as really confident. But my instructor said for my next individual presentation, hes going to charge me $2 for each um and $1 for each hmm. I didnt notice. Thats what happens when Im not reading from my notes. Im happy: I got an 80 on the presentation and an 85 on the report. The indiv is due on the 14th of July and the group project is due on the 28th. Thats years away. But then Im done: no more school! Yay me. I suppose thats all for now. =) : : :The Rockin Kids: : :Rings: : :Notes: : : |
