Woo! I just bought my ticket to the Molson Canadian Snow Jam. Thirty-six days until I see Sloan. It was funny waiting in line because a few people in front of me were in line to buy some Snoop Dogg tickets, but the woman behind the counter kept calling him Snoopy Dog. Ha ha. The girl behind me and I had a good chuckle out of that. But it�s not the woman�s fault, she�s usually behind the Canada Post Desk.

So last night I saw Duotang and The New Pornographers. That was such a good show. Roomie and I wanted to get there early so we could sit up on the balcony with a good view. Roomie was a little late getting ready, but we were still able to get a spot up there, pretty much on top of the bands. When Duotang was setting up, I pointed the bassist out and told her that he was also in Novillero (something that she would forget later on). She told me that I should yell down that I gave the Novillero album a good review, but I didn�t think that would have been appropriate since I was going to see Duotang. Anyway, Duotang rocked! They rocked my socks off. But the best part of the show: they weren�t a 2-piece as normal, they had a guy playing keyboards and I wasn�t sure who it was until he picked up the trumpet: Sexy Rusty from Novillero! Woo! Man, can that boy shuffle. After the set, Roomie said that the singer�s voice sounded familiar and asked if he was in the Salteens. I said, �No, he�s in Novillero!� �Oh, THAT�S why he sounded familiar.� She then proceeded to give me a couple slaps on the arm.

Anyway, then the New Pornographers took the stage. They, too, rocked. They opened with my favourite tune on the album: �Slow Descent into Alcoholism.� And those seats we had were perfect, because we had such a good view of Kurt Dahle who was being quite the ham the whole night. He was constantly looking for more alcohol. And at one point he was giggling like a little girl for at least 3 minutes. When Neko asked what he was going on about, he said that it was the Irish Whiskey. When he said, �I�m never gonna drink again,� that was the best. Actually where we were sitting would be a good place for an aspiring drummer.

The band did a few covers (the ones they performed on Radiosonic). Near the end of the show, they covered �Got To Get You into My Life.� That was grand. For their second encore I think they did a Fleetwood Mac song, but I�m not sure since I don�t listen to them.

And boo, I didn�t see Mars last night. Maybe I�ll see it at home, where there is less light pollution. See ya in a few days!
