Upon closer inspection of the CD tray, I noticed that some Jon bum is on display as well.

Today at lunch I had a good time. The restaurant across the street was able to make my veggie burger in less than the usual fifteen minutes. And it was busy when I came in.

Back in the lunchroom I noticed an interesting article in a co-worker's paper. It was about the new girl gnomes. Purists are shocked about this introduction into the boys club. The article went on with the tradition vs. political correctness blah blah blah.

But they didn't deal with the big issues that my co-workers and I were discussing. Like now having to keep the seat down in the outhouse. Like the propagation of gnomelets. Like prostitution (because unless the gnomes are protecting "special" crops, Mrs. Gnome will have to bring in the cash flow somehow).

I could go into great detail on this but it just wouldn't come out as funny as it did at lunch (we were hootin' and hollerin'). My three or four readers would finish and then think, "What a loser."

You probably already think that.

But that discussion totally lifted my day. My past couple of days in fact. I have been feeling very "blah" lately. About my work, about me and about people around me. Maybe it's the weather. I don't have much energy and I don't care much. Perhaps it the fact that everyday I'm at work for nine hours. Why can't we have only a half-hour lunch? Really, at 4:00 I would rather be home.

But...a co-worker and I have figured out a way to kill the last half-hour of our lunch. We're going to play cards. So now two of the amigos have something to do (the third usually reads a book). I offered to bring a deck tomorrow and asked her if I should bring my casino deck, hockey deck or harry potter deck. She said definitely not the Harry ones and then said, "In order of preference: casino, hockey then Harry." But she thought I was cute for having Harry cards.

Yep, I'm cute.
