Mmm...just sipping on a Pina Colada and listening to Stereolab. I think after this I shall listen to Novillero. Yes, yes I shall.

Yesterday I saw a commercial for a computer. Macintosh, I think. Anyway, the song they used I knew, but I couldn�t place it. The song was familiar but I was pretty sure I didn�t have the mystery band�s CD. Checked a compilation and lo and behold I found it: �Naive Song� by Mirwais. So if you happen to catch the commercial and like what you hear, I recommend listening to the whole song. I don�t know about the album since I haven�t listened to it.

The Pina Colada is slowly taking effect. Last weekend I made margaritas, but they affected the crew pretty quickly. And I know why now after making the Pina Colada: I didn�t finish reading the instructions. I didn�t add the second batch of ice cubes. That, and I put a lot more rum than the directions stated.

Back to the comp. It was from a CMJ mag I got a while ago because Daft Punk was on the cover and there was a Stephen Malkmus article inside. It�s got some good stuff on it: Spoon, Stephen Malkmus and New Pornographers (all who I *adore*). And it has some cool stuff I haven�t heard before:
Swag. The song sorta reminds me of Wilco, but a little more rockin�.
Hardcore Superstar. If Motley Crue did pop/rock, this is what they would sound like. (Just checked the title of the album it comes from: Bad Sneakers and a Pina Colada )
X-Ecutioners. This has a whole lotta scratchin� and loops.
Drums and Tuba. All you need is a drum, a guitar, and a tuba.
Dropkick Murphys. The world always needs more songs about drinking. And how can I not like a band with �Murphy� in the name?
The Causey Way. �Geological Lust� is just insane.
And there is a lot of other good stuff on it. It�s always fun to hear new stuff.

*Momentary pause for brain freeze to subside.*

Man, those hurt. Anyway, I did my individual presentation today. I really hate doing those, but apparently I came off as really confident. But my instructor said for my next individual presentation, he�s going to charge me $2 for each �um� and $1 for each �hmm.� I didn�t notice. That�s what happens when I�m not reading from my notes. I�m happy: I got an 80 on the presentation and an 85 on the report. The indiv is due on the 14th of July and the group project is due on the 28th. That�s years away. But then I�m done: no more school! Yay me.
