So the people of BC will be voting for a new Premier in about 16 days. Reader: Dear God, shes writing about politics?!? Dont worry, God will be appearing later on in this. =P I actually watched the debate on TV today to see what the candidates had to say, and to give me a chance to talk/yell at them (well the TV anyway). =P

I really like the leader of the NDP, Ujjal Dosanjh. Hes a cutie and he seems like he knows what hes doing, but I really hate the party (Much like Joe Clark...I love Joe Clark). That party is a big reason why BC is doing so badly (but not the only reason). And they sure like their fudgit budget. My sentiment is kinda the opposite for the Liberals: I dont mind the party, but I *really* cant stand Gordon Campbell. He bends over for the corporations much too easily. Apparently he want to give businesses a total of $800 million tax cut by eliminating the portion of property taxes that go to the schools. We need the money for more teachers and schools, dammit! Kids shouldnt be going to school in a portable.

Fortunately not just the 2 main parties were involved. The Green Party candidate Adriene Carr spoke really well and made a lot of sense. However that may backfire as the rednecks might not take too kindly to her using logic. I will probably vote Green. However, I will NEVER vote for the Unity party. Any party that has religion as part of their platform wont get an X from me (see, I told you God was going to appear). The leader, Chris Delaney, was very against pay equity that the NDP and Green parties want to implement. He went on to say that the Soviet Union had pay equity for 70 years and look how it ended up. Um, no, it was a whole many reasons why the Soviet Union ended up the way it did. I wont go into them, because writing about politics is probably boring you enough. Oh, and the way he said a few things made me very suspicious. Like when one of the journalists asked about the partys view on immigration and about the policy they want to implement. After a bit of defending his partys view, he said, My wife is an immigrant." Her father came to Canada about 40 years ago. Geez, that first bit. Isnt it usually racists when defending themselves say, Some of my best friends are black. The same thing about the partys view on homosexuality (remember religion is a part of the party). He said that he works in an industry that comes into contact with many homosexuals, and that he has many friends who are homosexual. I dunno about that guy. Isnt one Stockwell Day enough?

I just have to remember to phone to let Elections BC know that Ive moved. That would be a good idea. Maybe Ill get a chance to see a debate in my riding. Then Ill know 100% who I will be voting for.

[Cue porn music] Now for something a little less dry. Have you ever surfed the net and ended up at a site you normally wound not have? I did that last night. I was just entering some of my friends Diaryland names in yahoo to see if I could find them there. Well, one of them, I didnt find the diary, so I checked out some sites that had that name in it. Well... I pretty much ended up at a fan fic site. Yep, porn stories about some bands...including one of my faves (not telling). Well, after a bit of perusing, I made the mistake of telling my twin about it. Now she will never look at that band the same way again. And I just found out my other twin used to have it bookmarked Ha ha! ;) (Yes, Im well aware by have 2 twins I am a triplet and thus they cant be my twins). Sorry for being vague, but Im not going to display this info on my diary, because that site is bad....bad bad bad. (Hey, how many times have I quoted that line from the Supersuckers?) However, if someone is really really really interested, Im not above emailing the info. ;) [/music]

[Cue trailer trash music] Oh what else to write about? Well, last night I saw the first episode of Trailer Park Boys (or was it Trailer Park Guys?). Anyway, that show is hilarious. Obviously it takes place in a trailer park. The show is kinda like those "reality" shows because the characters talk to the camera. The viewers got introduced to this guy who just got out of jail. His best friend lives in the guys car on his lawn. The friend has a kid with some chick in the trailer park...but I bet its not his, itll probably be the main characters kid. And theres a guy whos always shirtless, but he really SHOULDNT be. Geez, one episode and Im already hooked to this soap. It airs on Showcase (I dont know if people in the US can watch it). [/music]

Hmm...I paid my rent today. My boss took us all out for lunch again. Nope, not much else to write about.

=)
